Interplay has re-emerged and launched a series of new websites pertaining to their older IPs, including 'Descent.' I had hoped that the IP reverted to the original creators after Interplay went MIA for several years. Once being part of the original 'Descent 2 & 3' development team, I recently proposed a new faction-based multiplayer online game entitled Descent Dominion. The project blended some of the best classic 'Descent' gameplay elements with exciting new features enabled to meet or exceed today's new generation of online multiplayers. In any case, it is nice to see 'Descent' back online!

So your sitting in your living room - watching your favorite sitcom when your daughter runs in and asks you to help her figure out what she needs to take with her in order to survive an epic wilderness adventure. The response that comes to mind might be - "I'll be there in a little bit - as soon as I'm done watching my show."
Another voice inside your head says "I don't have much experience with those online games" or "I had a hard day today - I really need to flat-line." Finally, a third voice reminds you that you have not spent much time doing something that your child would like to do, and then you wonder if games are good for them or not - or 'why can't they just go outside and play with the other kids like the good ole' days.' But wait a minute - the good ole days are here and now and today kids play with one another online. Sure you might forbid their access, but not for long.

Progressively-changing real-time 3D world is key for next-gen
MMO's.
Back in 2003, Cosmic Origins founder Daniel McMillan,
being interviewed on multiple gaming news sites for bringing Frontier 1859
MMORPG into development predicted that next-generation MMO's will need to become
less extraneous and more interactive as younger gamers grow up and search for a
new MMO fix. Well this prediction holds stronger than ever realizing the recent
$18.8 Billion Dollar Baby that is the new merger of Blizzard and Activision - to
become "the world's most profitable games business."
The Frontier 1859 Community has now grown to become a
"world community" with hopeful patrons from every walk of life and major
territories spanning the wired planet who desire to journey back in time.

 Cosmic Origins teamed up with Zombieduck Films to design and build a 70's style spacecraft miniature for the production of Swedish Pop Band "Moonbabies" new "War on Sound" music video. We are excited to announce that "War on Sound" won Best Directing Team for a Music Video in the "2007 Moondance Film Festival" in Hollywood, California. This is the second award for "War on Sound! Congratulations to Eric Althin, Shannon Henegan, and everyone else who contributed to this project.

 After watching Mel Gibson's recent film entitled Apocalypto - I think he could have fun and do what he does best in a project such as TQ. It has a unique hi-tech epic battle written, and Mel is no stranger to intense "boot to the head" battle-action. While it's not likely that this little post will get his attention, it's not hard to imagine how cool it could be. Finally, I think "Apocalypto" should at least have been nominated. Plus it was a rich study and excellent recreation of Mayan Culture. Incidently, Apocalypto was produced for $40 million. Great job Mel!

 J.R. Johns, the award winning Dog Trainer whose performing dogs won Jay Leno's "American Fido Award" and "America's Most Talented Pet" on the Today Show - hired us to create his new web-site. John rescues many of his canine pals from animal shelters, and has also appeared on America's Got Talent, Late Night with David Letterman, Animal Planet's Pet Star, and more. Swedish Pop Band Moonbabies new "Dark Star-esque" music video for their hit single "War On Sound" is out, and features the 70's style spaceship miniature we built for them. Zombieduck Films did a great job on the live action, and many of you followed our production of the miniature on Starship Scratcher webzine.
